COUNCIL OF MORTALS

What is the Council of Mortals?:  The (COM) are those that have gained the trust and the ear of the Goddess Týche. She grants them no special powers over the community, other than seeing them as capable and proven mortals who have previously pleased her in action and matters of importance. It's been said that Týche has a longing for talent and aptitude, and leads her (COM) to seek those that are most the most capable in her eyes.  

What does the Council of Mortals do for the Týche Community?: Nothing is expected of the Council members other than their wise oversight. Through their experience and passion for Týche they act as guides and sages for the larger community. 'What has been will be' is how they close every meeting, and they want nothing more than to see the continuity of that spirit live throughout the ages in hopes that future generations will always understand the importance of pleasing the Goddess who has given them so much. The (COM) does hold one very special power in that they do have the ear of the Goddess when needed, and with that comes the ability to disperse her tokens for matters that she deems worthy. 

How can I be chosen for the Council of Mortals?: By design, there's no written instructions on how to become a (COM) member. It is said some have had luck by approaching the current members with their desire to join. Others have said they have been approached by (COM) members soon after they've completed a deed of some kind that has pleased Týche. Other members have been known to be those that have shown the most loyalty. This many faceted way to enter the (COM) plays into Týche's goal of perfect governance over her community. 'Give that you shall receive' is a saying that's known to please the Goddess.
